Im so annoyed the way religion and political issues are always teamed up in one sentence..
I'm a Christian.. a Catholic to be specific who never fails to go to church every sunday and attend first friday masses..It's been long gone where the state and the church act as one. 'Tis isn't Constantine's time anymore..
well.. RH bill is the most heated discussion and is a perfect example but because of that more issues both from the church and the government arises..
Yeah! those parties love to be in the frontpage of every newspapers in the country..
I have read a part in the Phil. Constitution where it states that the state was created with the church as the basis or something like "The state acts alone.."
Morality... yeah! that was what they preach.. but have they thought that being in a frontpage of newspapers and cheap tabloids would make them different from the other citizens..
I wonder what's up with Entertainment people and church leaders wanting to be a politician or a statesman...
There's no law saying that they can't enter politics but they have THAT BIG CONFIDENCE that they can make a BIG CHANGE in our political stature.. In my opinion, they haven't done anything but added oil to the burning fire..
For me..it's better if they STICK TO THE STATUS QUO..
to quote Thomas Aquainas.. "it's better to see a fox fly than for a priest to lie"
or in other words it's better for a priest to give homily and induce reformation as a churchman rather than joining politics and controlling the government..it would tarnish the name of the church, and also of its members..stop using religion as a stepping stone in politics.
Try to resolve internal and political issues within your turf first before dealing with others..
( *cough*
it's what you call LIVE WHAT YOU PREACH..
*im just so disappointed..so instead of ranting on my Group Message (
So YAAAY!! for me..haha
